Powerhouse Center on the Bull Run

Your Story, Our Story

One of the many components to rehabilitating the powerhouse as a historic site of interest is preserving not only the building, but the stories of those who once worked there.  Powerhouse Center on the Bull Run is currently in the process of collecting oral histories from former employees of the Bull Run Powerhouse.  Through the stories we are told and the people we meet who have had unique associations with the powerhouse, we hope to honor you, the community, and the life that once thrived in and around one of Portland's oldest hydroelectric generating plants.

If you or someone you know has a story to tell about the Bull Run Powerhouse, please feel free to contact us at info@SaveBullRun.org.  We would love to share in your stories and further our knowledge on how the powerhouse functioned every day, who worked on what, how the Sandy community interacted with the powerhouse, and how the powerhouse is important to you.
